When my client asked me to redesign her room, I knew this one would be a great project. Initially, the walls were green and the paneling a dark brown.

To make it more of a space that they really wanted to be in, I chose a light neutral for the wall color and a white for the bottom paneling to brighten it up significantly. We added the built-in bookcases to house the large TV as a start.

We needed a light, bright palette to make it very family friendly with two young grandchildren visiting often.

I designed a comfy sectional in a neutral color and then added dark teals and blues to balance the calming neutral feel in this family gathering spot. Two ottomans which can be moved around easily serve as a place to put a tray for the kiddos to have their snacks as well as for the adults to kick up their feet and watch some great Disney flicks together!
