Family Room and Dining Room Design

Before my redesign, this space was dark and uncomfortable. To cozy it up, I added a creamy sofa and chaise combination with an opulent-but-comfy cocktail ottoman. A sofa table provided more room for drinks and entertainment, and a neutral rug anchored the space beautifully.
Hints of teal bring fun into the timelessly neutral family room and dining room design.
This family had a young son whose favorite play included roughhousing with Legos and trucks—so for the sofa, we used performance fabric to eliminate worry about spills or pulls.
The rich, dark dining table blends a classic look with comfy armchairs upholstered in a gorgeous blue herringbone pattern.
Stationary drapery panels feature beautiful embroidery—a nod to the family’s grandparents.
This room has a hint of teals to pull out some color on a gorgeous field of neutral.
